Shamus Turns 2!!!!

Hey all, we just had Shamus' 2nd birthday yesterday and wanted to post a few pics. He enjoyed the dinner but wasn't too interested in the cake because he wanted to jam with Daddy on his new guitar!! So, after a dose of Lynard Skynard and some BTO, we settled down to watch his favorite movie - "Cars". Ka-chow!!!!

A New Frontier

Well I am on to new, hopefully greener, pastures. I submitted my letter of resignation at A2M today. Yes ... that is right, my four year reign as character animator in video games has come to an end. I have excepted a position at a VFX/film company here in Montreal. Starting in mid February I will be an animation cog on the wheel that is DamnFX.

For the people who know me this news probably comes as little surprise. I have always had the curiosity to try my hand at film. And now I have finally taken the leap. I am very excited.

Can't wait to start.

Cheers!

A Winter Wonderland

Well we finally got some snow this winter. January was unnaturally mild until a week or so ago. Since then it has been pretty cold. But mother nature blessed us with a beautiful evening the other night so Stace and I took advantage of this and took the kids out to try out their new sled.

The kids are all ready for a ride.

Mom and Shamus taking a ride down the hill.

It is just a slight concussion kid ... shake it off!

Ah well ... that didn't last long. Back to some serious "skating".

Always a bloggie never a blogger

Well we finally took the leap and started a blog. We were inspired by friends of ours (Steve and Cari) to start one up to help us keep in touch now that they have moved to Australia. Also both Stace and I have family in many different parts of the country/world and it is a nice way to keep them a little closer and updated on our "goings on". So hey Steve and Cari we are "Blergins" no more ...

More to come in the next few days.
