What's with the Yard-Diggin' Critters???

So, a couple of weeks ago, some "Critters" dug up a lot of our frontyard. If they had dug up the backyard we wouldn't of cared...it's a mess anyway!! But, the frontyard was all grass. And pretty decent grass! Whether it was raccoons, or skunks...or a bear (ok, it wasn't a bear)...they did some damage to a lot of homes in the neighborhood. Some people lost their whole frontyard. They tore up big chunks of sod looking for food. I guess because winter didn't want to end!! I hope they're eating now and don't come back!

They really did a number...this used to be all grass...

And this is after...Darryl and I raked the sods up and Darryl planted some fertilizer and grass seed. It's suppose to work quite well so hopefully we'll have some new grass in a couple of weeks!! There's some grass already started to pop up....

Darryl's Birthday!!!!

Last Wednesday was Darryl's Birthday. Yeap...31!!! He's getting up there! I may have to trade him in for a newer model. heheheeee...just kidding!!!

Darryl's been working pretty long hours lately so he was late getting home. Shamus couldn't wait for him to eat his dinner so we cut the cake for Shamus...Shamus enjoyed the choclate cake while Darryl enjoyed his dinner from "Soupbol". It's one of his new favorite restaurants so he was happy!!! And so was Shamus!!!

Shamus tried out the chop sticks on his choclate cake but gave up and used his fingers!!

Breagha enjoyed her new view on things...in her highchair!! Of course she was happy about it. Better view up high than sitting on the floor...

Shamus was a big help getting the birthday gifts rollin'....

You can't go wrong when you shop at "Simons"...

So, then on Saturday night we went out to dinner with some of Darryl's friends...old co-workers, new co-workers, and of course the UK Boys!!!

We went to Scarolie's...a nice Italian restaurant by our house. Darryl thought that it was only going to be him and I. He was pretty surprised to see everyone there!!! :)

Easter Weekend!!

So, we had a great Easter weekend with lots of food, drinks, treats, and family. My friend/cousin/neighbor...from Nova Scotia...Amanda...can to visit us for the long weekend. Amanda lives in Windsor, ON now and the only time she got to see us in Montreal was when I was in the hospital when Breagha was born. So, she didn't get to see much outside the hospital!! This time I wanted to make sure that she got to see some of the city, the nightlife, and of course the shopping!! She's very up on fashion so I think she enjoyed herself!! We went to Simons a couple of times and she enjoyed the nice shops on St. Catherine...

We mostly relaxed on Friday but did manage to stop into Fairview Mall for a quick peak...

On Saturday we treated ourselves to a pedicure at the West Spa and then took Shamus to Matteo's 2nd birthday party. After the party we headed downtown to do some shopping and then relaxed on Cresent St. We had a nice dinner and drinks at Newtown. And then went out dancing. I had a blast! Jo - thanks for a great time!!!

Easter Weekend Continues!!!

So, just a few pics of Amanda and the Purdys. Shamus was just starting to enjoy "Aunt" Amanda and she had to head back to Windsor. We did some more sightseeing on Monday and finished up on shopping. Then Amanda flew out on Tuesday. It was great to spend the weekend with family..who is also a great friend!!!

Hey dad ... pass me that hammer.

So I thought it was time to introduce Shamus to power tools. I mean what respectful two year old doesn't know his/her way around a five foot power awger. How could I send that pour soul to daycare, where all the other kids would be showing off there circular saw and power drill skillz, and pour little Shamus would have to fall back on licking his finger and sticking it in someone's ear. To Ikea we went. We decided a table and chairs would be an good starter project. You can imagine our suprise when we realized that all holes are pre-drilled. NOOOOOOO.... Damn you ... you tall blond scandanavian bastards!!! You have robed a young boy of his power tool education. You may have won this round but the war is far from over. I vow that one day my two year old WILL know the awsomeness that is the "Power Tool".

So ... the rung thingy is connected to the leg thingy.

It's all about cutie Breagha...

So, just a few pictures of little Breagha. She's pretty darn cute in front of a camera!!! She's doing very well. She's eating more "food" now and is still gaining well. She had a doctors appointment on Friday and she weighs 14lbs 12ozs.

She's a very happy baby. Lucky for me!!

Yeap, this is the life of 2 year olds!!! It's all about play time! Shamus and Calli had a great time hanging out when Calli's parents were away. And we loved having her!!
