Hello world...

...we're back!

I have been wondering lately if I should even continue with the blog as I'm super behind. There are pictures from the summer that I wanted to post and never did! Now it's almost November and I don't know where to even start. But, I decided that I will keep with the blog until Breagha starts school next September. Then we will have a journal for when Shamus started and Miss Breagha. So, now I need to commit to keeping up with the blog!

I think it should be a bit easier now as we're pretty much settled and I feel more organized with things. We'll see how long it lasts!!

With being very behind on blogging, we have many things to post about! But, I'm going to try and keep things simple with a few pics and a quick note here and then. :) Should work, right?

...Shamus started karate in September and is really enjoying it so far. He goes most of the time with his buddy, Matteo, and they love "karate chopping" each other!

...Sensei Denis is great with the kids and keeps them positive.
...watch out Karate Kid!!! Shamus is on his way!!!!
...oh yeah, he was so fast with the kick that it was alllllll a bluurrrr.

...then we have little Breagha that has started highland dancing. She loves it and just smiles the whole time. Very cute.
...she has decided that her Nova Scotia tartan dance will be her permanent highland dancing dress. She is quite happy with the whole outfit but the shoes are her favorite. Already loves her accessories!!
...did I mention that she loves her class? :)

We've also kept busy with some outdoor fun. We ventured off to Mont Royal a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed the park. The trees were beautiful, the lake was relaxing, and of course the playground was the highlight for the kids!!

...this tree was my highlight! I had lots of fun seeing how far I could climb. But, I did notice that I'm not as brave as I used to be!
...Oh, we all had to try it out!

...the lake was beautiful with the many coloured trees surrounding it.


...the fish in the lake were quite cool.
...the park has a nice restaurant with a great view of the lake.
We have also made a couple of trips to Ottawa to visit the siblings. More pics to follow!

This week is quite busy as Halloween is on Sunday. We have Breagha's Halloween party on Thursday, Shamus' on Friday, Darryl and I are going to a costume party on Saturday, and then Trick or Treatin' on Sunday!!! Baking to get done and costumes to finalize!
