Life as a Kid!!!

Here are a few pictures of the kids March Break a couple of weeks ago. We got some rainy weather but they kept themselves very busy!!! We really do love having family closeby. Shamus loves his cousins and it's so nice seeing them becoming friends.
HannaRose started off the Pogo Competition...very tense!

Ceilidh held her own...

But, Alec was just getting rollin'!!

A new game that the kids "created". You have to tag each other
with the balls. Once you're hit, then you lose the "use" of that limb.
Ceilidh is not off to a good start!!
Alec is still collecting his ammunition....

Ceilidh definitely lost this game because she lost the use of her legs and
her hands!!! Big trouble for her!

And while the older kids had fun in the basement,
Shamus and Calli had their own fun upstairs!

They both love to dance!!!

And that was some of the creative fun that the kids had while
we were in Ottawa. Shamus definitely loves our trips to visit his cousins!
Wait until Breagha gets going!!

the Dude

The other night we were in attendance for a rare event. So rare in fact that it only happens maybe once in lifetime. We were front row center for one of entertainment's premiere events. Yes that is right the one ... the only ... "Shamus "the dude" Purdy: Live and un-Pantsed". Let me tell you it was standing room only. Luckily I managed to sneak in a camera and steal a few shots. Very rare indeed.
Ladies and gentlemen for my first number ... I'd like to do a little number called "Layla".

Whoa-oooh-ohhhh ohhh ohhh..... hangin' tuff

Yes you little lady ... you in the front row. This ones for you baby.

A Few Days of Rest

Ahhhh, so this week will not be as busy as last week!! Last week I was between Montreal and Ottawa with Duane and Cathy's kids. They're great kids...thank God...and I enjoyed the time with them. But, unfortunately I got sick last Tuesday and didn't recover until Friday. Luckily my niece, Ceilidh was with me and she spent a lot of time with the kids. She's a great entertainer!!!

Ceilidh arrived from Nova Scotia on a Wedneday and we got to do a few things before Duane's gang arrived on Friday night. We both got a manicure, Ceilidh got a nice haircut, we did some shopping, and went to the movies!! I had a great time hanging with her and hopefully we'll get to do it again soon!!

Duane and them arrived on a Friday night. While Duane and Cathy enjoyed the hot southern sun, the rest of us "enjoyed" the snow/rain/wind/and some sun!! We did get to do some swimming...as you saw the pictures...and we went to Cosmic Adventures in Ottawa. It's one HUGE indoor playground!!

So, Duane and Cathy got back from Jamaica on Saturday at 5pm. And Darryl's sister and her gang arrived on Saturday morning. Saturday was pretty busy with everyone coming and going. We didn't make it to WymGym but I don't think that Shamus cared!! He enjoyed all his cousins!! We got to enjoy Saturday with Kelly and Brendan and the kids. And they left for Nova Scotia on Sunday morning. Quick visit!!

And now we have a couple of days to relax and we leave for Ottawa on Friday. I have a ringette tournament there and Darryl, Shamus, and Breagha are going to join me.

That's all our excitement! It's suppose to get pretty warm thing week so everyone cross your fingers!!!!

March break

Hey everyone, sorry it has been a while since our last post. It has been very busy at work and then having Duane and Cathy's kids here is hectic ( and there great kids). I'd hate to think what it would be like if they were difficult. Mom ... Dad .... I don't know how you did it with 5 kids.... thank you. And thanks to Ceilidh for coming up and helping out. Rosie get well soon. We had a lot of fun this week. Check out the pics.
Damn it!!!!...I said cannonball.
Watch that first step!!!

Somebody didn't clean behind their ears!!!

Just waiting for the perfect wave...

Who needs hockey when you have water polo!

Shamus is a stickler for accurate titanic reenactments. If I'm not mistaken the ball represents the iceberg.

At this point we were pretty sure the ball was following us.

Oh yeeeaaaah.... those dentures do look real. Who's your orthodontist?

If mommy and daddy can post ... so can I.

Hi, it's Shamus. I thought that I would help mommy and daddy by posting a couple of pictures I have taken. I think I'm pretty darn good with a camera ... if I do say so myself. I have also sent these picture to National Geographic. I'm sure they'll contact me shortly.
It is rare that you catch one of these (prematurus bebius) in their natural habitat.
Is eleven cups of coffee too much coffee for one day?

Apparently it is!!!!
