Pandemic Party at the Pineapple Hotel!!

Well, it's been pretty busy this past week. As you saw on Darryl's last post....we finally got a car. Sooooo awesome! It was nice to not have the payment/insurance/registration to worry about but it's time to have a car. Just to be able to grocery shop without having to worry about getting the groceries home! Oh, so sweet!!

We also had another Christmas party. It's that time of year!!! :)
Darryl's party was a Casino theme so some people really got great costumes to go with the night. The Aussies really love their costume parties!

Thanks Pandemic to a wonderful night. Darryl and I had such a blast. We partied hard and it was worth it! We have to make the most of a night out....babysitters cost an arm and a leg here!

We clean up well when we need to. I think Darryl was lookin' amazzzzzing! RRrrrrrr!!

The other Nova Scotian couple - Steve and Cari! Steve was very entertaining with his karaoke songs. Rock on!

Dan and Amy always look amazing! And they were lots of fun! Dan had some great stories on Sunday. And Amy is my new singing partner!!!

Ok, so Nick was dateless with Mariana being in Mexico...so he had a new date - a cold beer!

Oh yes...the person in the middle...yeap...a guy. Jeff went all out!!! He dressed up as a women. Right down to shaving his arms and legs!! Brave man!

Then the karaoke got started. I don't think Steve stopped all night! He lovvvvves his karaoke!

Sunday we got to chill out at Dan and Amy's. They have a great apartment with a really nice pool and hot tub. Relaxed for the afternoon and then had a BBQ. Thanks for the invite guys. We'll see you again this Sunday! heheee

And back to work today. I'm not sure how things are going at home but Australia is starting to feel the recession. We had a very important meeting this morning with our director and it was to inform us that lay offs are starting next week. They are first asking for people to volunteer...yes, some people are. And then they will confirm who will be laid off next Monday. So, a tense week in my office. Not nice right before Christmas but they've been doing everything they can to prevent it from happening and can't put if off any longer. The travel industry isn't the best place to be working in when the world is in a recession! Who can afford to travel!?!!
