So, I've been thinking...

Yeap, I've been thinking. I was talking to one of my co-workers yesterday. He's been working in our USA offices the last few months and we were doing catch up. I was giving him the latest news on the family and some of our plans. And he said, "So, you've got the perfect life right now." Not at all like it was last summer.

Hmmmm, it made me think. I am pretty darn happy. How many of us actually stop and think...am I happy? I don't usually ask myself this question. Until my co-worker made that comment. So, I guess things are going pretty good for us right now.
I'm back to work and enjoying it. I get to work 4 days a week and spend Friday with the kids. I'm having loads of fun with Shamus and Breagha and still getting alone time with Darryl. And our friends.

We're all healthy this summer and getting to enjoy ourselves. So, things are looking good right now. We had lots of family visit since Christmas and are getting to do things together. Not at all like last summer!!!! Breagha has her appointment at the Childrens Hospital next week so hopefully that will go well. She's been growing so well and is very strong. I can't believe she's the same baby as the little peanut from last summer.
And of course I have the most wonderful husband. 11 1/2 years together and he's still my best friend and a hotty! He's the best Dad and I think he's perfect.
Sooooo, I hope I don't jinx myself but this summer has been looking good!!!!
I hoping everyone reading this is truly happy too. I always say, "You only get to live your life once so make it good." And I really believe this. And I say to Darryl, "No looking back when you're 60 with regrets." I'll be pretty mad at myself if I do the whole...I wish I did this...I should of done this...
Nope, things are good.

Our Week...

So, we had another busy week. Week 2 at work. It's going quite well. I'm learning lots! And Breagha is starting to get used to daycare. Which is a relieve because it's hard to leave them at daycare when they're so upset.
Monday was busy as usual. And then Tuesday night we went downtown to visit with Jason, Lisa, and Baby Jack. Lisa and I worked together in Halifax. They live in Toronto and were on their way home to NB/NS. It was great to see the baby.
Baby Jack with Dad Jason. Another Baby Jack!!!

Lisa, Jason, and Jack.
So, then Darryl and I both had Friday off and enjoyed the day with the kids. It was raining pretty hard so we stayed indoors. We headed downtown and took the kids to the Science Centre.

Shamus showing Daddy how an 4-stroke engine works.
This was neat...the faster you pedal the more energy is created and the more appliances you power. Shamus couldn't reach the pedals, so it wasn't as much fun for him.
I'm sure if he could have gone all the way in he would have.

After checking out the Science Centre we took the kids to the Dinosaur IMAX movie. Darryl's company did the animation so it was cool to see. And Shamus is loving dinosaurs right now so it was great timing.

Saturday morning was back to downtown. Brunch with the city folk...It was great to see everyone.

Saturday afternoon was spent at the park. Shamus tried out his new baseball bat and ball. Pretty cute.

What a wonderful momma!

Barry bonds better look out ... Shamus did all this without the roids.

It's not all fun and games!!! Poor Shamus had to have a little time out... He looked so cute off by himself.

And Sunday morning...

Lots of fun at the beach today. Water goes up ... water comes down.

Little Miss Sunshine.

This is how a proper sand castle is built momma!

Daddy is either the jungle jim or the swing set.

Shamus is such a great big brother to Breagha.

Baby Jack has Arrived....

Congrats to Amanda and David...baby boy number 2 arrived!
Jack arrived on Friday and weighed in at 10lbs 5ozs!! Wow! Big boy.

Cute picture of Liam and Jack.
We're so happy for you guys! Best of luck!

Back to the Real World!!!!

Well, I went back to work last Monday. It went pretty well. I'm going to be working in the office for a couple of weeks...needed some training and want to make sure that I'll be ok on my own. Then I'll be doing a home office. It was nice to see everyone but I really will like the home office. I'll be working 8-430 and have Fridays off. So, it was pretty sweet on Thursday...it's already the weekend for me! I loved it! It was really nice and the week went by super fast.
So, Friday was spent with 5 other Moms and 7 other kids. Pretty busy day! We had a little pot luck and playdate with a few of the girls. It's a great way to spend the day with the kids. I really like that they only have 4 days at daycare.
Then Saturday night was "Just For Laughs". It was excellent!!! We went out to dinner with Preetha and Joe...a cute Mexican restaurant in Old Montreal. Great food and drinks. And then we headed off to the show. It was really, really good. Anyone that has been in a serious relationship would of totally laughed their ass off at this show. You could relate to everything the comedian said. It was totally worth seeing. I recommend it....the show plays in about 15 countries so keep your eyes out for it. It's called, "Defending the Caveman." And after the show was desert at Rockaberry. A yummy desert restaurant.
So, it was the perfect evening with my honey. We've been really lucky lately...we've been getting quite a bit of "alone" time so I'm liking that!!!!
And today was spent doing some work around the house....Darryl's putting in new handles on all the doors...and I did some gardening outside. Then we took the kids swimming in the afternoon. I think Breagha will be just like Shamus - lovin' the water!! She seems to enjoy it so we're putting them both in swimming in the fall.
Back to work tomorrow. We have friends coming in to visit this week - Lisa, Jason, and Baby Jack!!! They're heading home to Moncton and Cape Breton and are stopping in Montreal. So, it will be a treat to meet Jack. And then Duane and Cathy are heading home this week so hopefully they'll be stopping in too before they go.
It's always busy!!!

Sunday afternoon at the park

So, I just can't seem to keep up with all that we've been doing lately. These are a few pics from last Sunday...when Trac and the kids stayed over. We had a wonderful time with them and love that they are so closeby.
Trac and Ashley went to the mall on Sunday afternoon (July and January are the best sale months...I love it!!!!!!!!!!) so Darryl, the kids, and I headed to the park. Shamus had a blast with John and Justine. It's pretty cute to watch him follow them around the park!

Yeap...this blog is starting with Mama and Papa Purdy! We never seem to have any pictures of Darryl and I. It's always all about the kids! So, enough is enough! Here's Darryl trying to get a picture of us...you can see the camera in his sunglasses...heheeeeeee....

So, Justine felt sorry for us and came over and took a picture of us. And I think she did a super job so this picture is for Justine!

Cute pic of John and Justine.

The swings are still the top favorite for Shamus and Breagha.

The girls headin' down the slide. Breagha is actually starting to try and push herself down the slide now. It's pretty funny.

Shamus followed John all around the park.

There she is...cutie!

And just darn cute again!!!

Ok, Where do I Start??

Yeah, it's been damn busy!!! I'm going to try and make this post as short as I can...but it's been hectic! Since last Wednesday (Breagha's 1st Birthday!) Darryl and I had our 7th year Anniversary...yeap, 7 years! We went out on Friday night to celebrate. Very nice...great food, yummy drinks! Then we had a little birthday party on Saturday for Miss Breagha. Very good time but what a mess!!!!
Oh my God!
I couldn't believe how much of a mess a few toddlers could make! Luckily I had Darryl and Tracy help me clean up after...thanks. :)
The party was a lot of fun and Tracy and the kids stayed until Sunday evening. Wonderful visit guys! Shamus really, really has such a great time with all his cousins. I love that we live close to Ottawa. So, Sunday was hangin with Trac and the kids.
Monday...my first day back to work! Yeap, went pretty well. It was nice to see my co-workers and nice to challenge the brain a bit! Breagha was a bit upset at daycare but it's getting better. So, now it's Wednesday and I thought it was time to get the blog updated.
Pics of the party...

Everyone loves Dora...well, all the kids anyway.

We started with "Pin the Bracelet on Dora". It was so cute to watch the kids try to close their eyes and pin the bracelet at the same time. Pretty funny!

Jaime doing her attempt.

And then the tradional Bean Bag Toss. Matteo was warming up the arms...

Getting ready for a little ball game?

Time for some pizza. That's Shamus "posing" for the camera in the back. Yeap, eyes still closed!

Oh yeah, the birthday girl. Getting ready for cake!

Hangin' with B.

So, that's the cake. She enjoyed it but didn't finish it...definitely not like Shamus who devoured it!

Some of the kids having cake and ice cream.

And opening a few gifts.

The day went very well. It was wonderful having all the kids come over. And super that Tracy and the kids could make it.

I'll post some pictures of our day with Tracy and kids...that will be for Mrs. Shirley Purdy!! Who is now on-line! And chatting on MSN I hear. Glad that you can check out the blog now Shirley!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY BREAGHA!!!!!

Happy Birthday Princess!!

This is the first ever picture of Breagha. She was 1lb 14ozs and a fighter right from Day 1. And she's been doing great ever since. A rocky start but you kicked butt. We love you!!!!!!!

Dad spending time with his little girl.

And big brother Shamus enjoyed his visits to the hospital. He wasn't so happy when Breagha came home to stay. He wanted her to go back. He sure loves her lots now! He's great at getting her to laugh. He can do anything and Breagha will laugh and giggle.

The big day!! Going home with Mom and Dad. It was pretty exciting! Breagha weighed about 6lbs and was 2 1/2months old.

Her first cuddle with Dad and Shamus at home.

Been home for a while now and things are going well...

Ah, trying to get a Christmas picture!!! That was fun! Between trying to get Shamus to sit still, trying to get Breagha to look at the camera, and not cry, and trying to get Shamus to look at the camera...lots of fun! Right Steve?!!

Breagha's first trip to Nova Scotia. At Grammie Rosie's and Grampie Sandy's for Christmas Eve. Picking out Christmas dresses was fun!

Christmas Day morning...

Breagha was baptized in Antigonish. Us with Father Danny.

About 6 months old...getting big, strong, and busy!

And Breagha a few weeks ago!!!

She's come a long way. We're so happy to have you with us and we love you very much!

Happy 1st Birthday Princess!

Friday Fun...

Friday night I went out to dinner with some of the girls from my ringette team. It was a new restaurant on De Salaberry. It's called Navia Tapis Martinis. And the martinis were yummy. I really like the tapis idea because you get to try out so many different foods. We had lots of seafood which I love so it was a great night!!

We enjoyed a couple of drinks outside before going in for dinner. Very nice new spot.
Karen, Me, Sylvie (she just got engaged!), and Cyndi.

And on Friday we got our new car! We were pretty happy about that. It's a cranberry-red colour, toyota corolla sport, and only 39,000km. No bright yellow car! We enjoyed the drive to Ottawa and got to test out the CD player...the simple pleasures!!!
